About

The World Food Academy 4 Sustainable Food Systems is an ecosystem dedicated to education, career development, and collaboration in food, nutrition, science, and technology.

Designed for university students, early-career researchers, and practitioners, the Academy aims to empower the next generation of food and nutrition professionals with free education, practical skills and hands-on learning opportunities through internships, scientific research projects and applied training programmes. This will enable them to contribute to more sustainable, and more resilient food systems worldwide.

Building Resilient Food Systems for All

There is a growing global population and increased pressure on natural resources.  Sustainable food systems are essential to ensuring that everyone has access to safe, nutritious, and affordable food.

Unsustainable practices cause soil degradation, water scarcity, loss of biodiversity, and higher greenhouse gas emissions while millions of people still face hunger and malnutrition. These challenges highlight the urgent need for food systems that can support both people and the planet.

This is why the World Food Academy 4 Sustainable Food Systems was established. By promoting collaboration, science‑based learning, and free access to education, the Academy aims to equip emerging professionals with the knowledge and skills to create practical, scalable solutions.
